Breakfast absolutely is the most powerful meal of the day.

If you eat the right one that is!

Yet for many busy people skipping breakfast is still sometimes a daily occurrence. Breakfast falls into the craziest time of the day when you have the least amount of time and you are rushing to get to work on time. The last thing you  want to do is prepare and then eat breakfast, time is precious.

You just have no time for breakfast!

I get it, but I honestly believe that investing the time (that's right it is an investment of time) to actually sit and eat  a  breakfast  has the power to not only automate your metabolism and energy for the day, but is likely to be the biggest productivity hack you can acquire in less than 10 minutes flat!!!

However, let me be clear, not all breakfasts are created the same and it is this macronutrient profile that holds  the key to creating a breakfast that either kickstarts your metabolism, energy levels and cognition or actually reduces your metabolism, causes your body to store fat and make you feel so sluggish all you can think of is your bed.

A nutritious breakfast, especially if you are watching your waistline should be protein rich with some good omega 3 fats. I absolutely suggest having carbs to help push you through the day, but use them as a side order rather than the main focus of the meal. This is for several reasons, one being that excess carbs can make you tired and groggy, but also not depriving yourself of them is essential too so you don't feel deprived and start craving carbs after breakfast.

Sadly most premade breakfast cereals and pastries are nutritionally empty and are

  1.  Sugar loaded
  2. Carb heavy
  3. Overly processed

Whilst they may fill you up, at least for a while, that is where the benefits stop and their less attractive benefits being, such as

  • Increased belly fat
  • Increased cholesterol
  • Fatigue
  • Inflammation, including sore joints
  • Brain fog
  • Imbalanced hormones causing you to be hungry quickly

This makes it difficult to chose a breakfast that can feed your body properly. You want it to be convenient and ready to go but in all honesty this is where I believe we are let down a lot in the cereal department.

So, I have come up with my own. This, like all the recipes I share, is so easy you could do it with your eyes closed, and it is super yummy and nutritions to set you up for the day.

Making your own cereal  is super easy and you know EXACTLY what you are putting into your body.

This is a simple protein rich mix that I absolutely love. It's not only yummy but also helps

✅Reduce Cholesterol
✅Balance Sugars
✅Reduce Inflammation
✅Improves digestion (+ inevitably mood (gut-brain connection)
✅Increases metabolism
✅Seriously filling

✚White Chia
✚Black Chia
✚Sunflower Seeds
✚Goji Berries
✚Raw activated almonds

Mix and store in an airtight container. Serve with full fat yogurt and fresh berries or your favourite organic milk for a super nutritions, protein rich brekky!

It is really that easy to make your own breakfast cereal to feed your body and mind and energise you for the day.

So you have absolutely no excuse to be forced to eat the junk food rich boxed breakfast cereals and instead treat your body to a bit of class and respect, just as you deserve.
