Wheel of life

Health is about so much more than what is on your plate.... like so much more... 

When we talk about optimising our health and wellbeing, we often look at what we are eating and how we are moving. And whilst they are 2 massive areas that dictate our health, that focus can often cause us to neglect other areas in our life that are equally as important. 

  • Relationships with our selves and others,
  • Purpose and career
  • Growth
  • Spirituality
  • Creativity
  • Social Life
  • Contribution

These areas of our life as hugely important in our health, but we often ignore them as being about anything but... 

If this makes you roll your eyes, don't worry, I used to think the same. 

For a long time I shrugged off this philosophy. I mean seriously how can my health be related to my social life or the relationship with myself? 

But when you consider  that the majority of our stressors in life come from these areas, and stress is responsible for approximately 90%  of all our health struggles, including overeating, chronic fatigue, addictions, inflammation, autoimmune diseases then you can see where I am going.

My point.... look at the bigger picture. 

Look at all the areas of your life to see where you are lacking. Perhaps remedying this root cause is all you need to fix to reach your best health. 

So if you are currently struggling and you can't pinpoint why, I urge you to pick up a pen, grab a cuppa and sit down and take the time to find out what you need right now using the circle of life.
